Sailing School Employment Opportunities

Island Bay Yacht Club is currently seeking to fill the Sailing School positions listed below. The application deadline for sailing school employment is January 1, 2008 and is available online as an Adobe Acrobat PDF.

Apprentice

• must be 16 years of age
• must have a drivers license
• must have good sailing experience.

Apprentices are hand selected by the Sailing School committee. Apprentices are required to attend and help in a sailing session so current instructors can review their performance and abilities.

Sailing Instructor

• must have 1 year apprenticeship
• must have CPR certification, First Aid certification
• must have a US Sailing membership
• must have power boat license
• must have US sailing Course I certification.
